H.E. Dr. Bandar AlSajjan was appointed as The Director-General of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) in July 2020. His career to date spans various high-ranking positions, including Deputy of Relations and International Collaboration at the Ministry of Energy; Deputy of Strategy and International Affairs at The Capital Market Authority (CMA); and Deputy Assistant at The Capital Market Authority, as well as serving as an advisor to the Ministry of Civil Service.
Prior to this, Dr. AlSajjan held a range of progressive roles within The IPA. He worked as The Director of Business Administration Programs’ Sector before progressing to the position of Director-General of Planning and Development. Then, he became The Deputy Director-General of Quality and Development.
Dr. AlSajjan’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Brunel University in the U.K., an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Scranton in the U.S., and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration gained from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.
H.E Dr. Alsajjan has published several scientific articles in reputed journals and is a member of various steering and supervisory committees where he oversees administrative development initiatives. In addition, he leads and supervises several transformational projects at both The IPA and other organizations.
