This conference commemorates the IPA’s 60th anniversary and reflects the world's rapid changes in all aspects of life, including administrative development. There have been many changes in the directions and concepts of administrative development over the last two decades, as the focus has shifted from administrative development to excellence. In addition, the importance of aligning public policies with sustainable development goals became evident, as well as the importance of digital transformation and integration among government institutions. In addition, a greater emphasis has been placed on government innovation as a means of modernization, transformation, and keeping pace with change.
In light of these developments, the Saudi Vision 2030 has been launched as an inspiring historic juncture for the Kingdom. With the Vision's pillars, goals and programs, the Kingdom seeks to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable administrative development. It further emphasizes the importance of innovation, vision, initiative, and proactive ability to anticipate the future, in light of the economic, social and technological changes.
Given the importance of collaborative efforts to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, and based on the IPA’s role as a pioneer and distinguished partner in promoting administrative development for six decades, as well as in keeping with global trends in government innovation, this conference is taking place to address themes and topics related to innovation in government work and its future. The conference also aims to shed light on a variety of applied practices and trailblazing local, regional and international experiences that have contributed to administrative development efficiency in the face of the world’s rapid changes.
