Dr. Al-Arifi is the Deputy Director General for Research and Consultations at the Institute of Public Administration. He supervises many of the IPA’s main activities, including research, studies, consultation, and administrative documentation.
Dr. Al-Arifi is an expert in a wide range of scientific, administrative and advisory fields. At the national level, he chaired and participated in a number of key studies and consultations, including the project of Tracking and Documenting KSA Ministries' Mandates, in addition to two initiativesapproved by the IPA as part of the National Transformation Program 2020:Review and Development of Organizational Structure at Saudi Ministries and the National Program for Distance Training.
He chaired and participated in the development of organizational structures and manuals for a number of Saudi ministries and agencies. He also supervised and reviewed a considerable number of studies conducted by the Preparatory Committee for the Board Standing Committee on Economic Affairs and Development for Administrative Organization. He participated in many international committees and official delegations, including the Board of Directors of the International Institute for Administrative Sciences IIAS, the Standing Committee for Distance Training at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Directors of Public Administration Institutes in the Gulf countries.
On the academic level, Dr. Al-Arifi has written and published a number of research and scientific papers in prestigious international publications. During his career, he carried out many advanced training courses. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the Conference Supervisory Committee for the “Innovation and the Future of Government Work Conference”. He was also the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the International Conference on “Administrative Development in Light of the Saudi Vision 2030”.
